Your family's SEND journey laid out in one place.
Journeyward is an organiser and diary for people navigating special educational needs and disabilities. It puts what came before, where you are right now, and what comes next on one timeline.
Journeyward is built around how SEND works in England.
Opens the real app, with an example family already in it.
What it does
Each part of the journey is its own thread - a referral, a set of appointments, a piece of the process - with your entries inside it, woven in on one timeline to show the big picture.
-
The map
Zoom out and it shows where each thread started and finished, and the decisions along the way.
-
Now and Upcoming
Where things stand today, with events and decisions noted.
-
The log
Day-to-day notes, and the things you find yourself writing down again and again, under topics you choose.
-
Contacts
The people and services you are dealing with.
So when you are asked to go through it all again, it is always there.
Journeyward makes no judgement or diagnosis about a person or condition.
Open Journeyward and choose "Start a new case file".
It runs in a browser - phone, tablet or computer.
How your data is handled
You do not need an account to use Journeyward, and there is no account with us. There are no adverts, and nothing watching how you use it.
Removing things
You can remove records from the app at any time. Removing an individual record removes it from your current case file, but its text may remain in the app's change history and in backups you have already saved.
Backups you have already saved are separate files under your control - deleting data in the app does not change a backup you made earlier.
Keeping a backup
Your case file is held on your own device, in your browser - so it is worth saving a backup. A backup is a file you export and keep wherever you like, protected by a passphrase you choose.
Keep the backup passphrase somewhere safe and secret. Journeyward cannot recover it.
Get in touch
Journeyward is being added to steadily. If something is confusing, missing or wrong, saying so is the most useful thing you can do.
No form and no account. If it helps, include what you were trying to do, what you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
Please leave out anything about a real person's health or education records.
What happens to what you send is described in the privacy notice.
